Color Melting

You know how the leaves look during the fall when they change color. The outer edges grow more red as the the heart of the tree leaves go more golden from green. Its beautiful and its seamless. That is color melting. Except I do it on hair. Darker to lighter or lighter to darker. If you have seen the movie Eat Pray Love, Julia Robert's hair looks as if it is melted with balayage. Bayalage is when you paint lightner straight on the hair no in foils for a natural fashion also. Color melting is a beautiful natural looking highlight. Or a dramatically sun-kissed look. The transformation starts at the midshaft and goes to your ends, brightening you up. If you look a your own hair you will notice that you roots are much darker than your ends, that is good! You can do reds, blondes, caramels, just about any color. I have done more dramatic melting with coppers and reds, see older posts for more.

Julia is bomb shell, here I did melting on my client and I think the brightness make her look great.
